2.1 Indications

Effective treatment for bacterial infections caused by florfenicol-sensitive pathogens:

  • Poultry: Respiratory tract infections (infectious coryza, mycoplasmosis), gastrointestinal infections (colibacillosis, salmonellosis), and septicemia.
  • Swine: Bacterial pneumonia, pleuropneumonia, and enteritis.
  • Ruminants: Bovine respiratory disease complex (BRDC), enzootic pneumonia, and calf scours.

2.2 Dosage and Administration

Route: Oral administration via drinking water or direct drenching.

Target Species Dilution Ratio (10% Solution) Administration Notes
Poultry 1-2 mL per 1 L of water Consume within 8-12 hours. Prepare fresh daily.
Swine 2-3 mL per 1 L of water Ensure uniform mixing.
Cattle/Sheep 1.5-2.5 mL per 1 L water or 0.2-0.4 mL/kg BW Drenching is recommended for animals with poor intake.

Mechanism: Binds to the 50S subunit of bacterial ribosomes, inhibiting protein synthesis. Active against Gram-positive, Gram-negative, and anaerobic bacteria.

Withdrawal Periods:

  • Poultry (Meat): 4 days.
  • Swine (Meat): 7 days.
  • Cattle/Sheep (Meat): 14 days.
  • Lactating animals (Milk): 72 hours.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place at 2-25°C. Protected from light. Do not freeze. Shelf life is 24 months unopened.
