The trace element analyzer adopts the atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS) technique—also known as atomic absorption photometry—for the quantitative determination of trace elements in the human body.
By measuring the intensity of light absorbed by free atoms of the target element in a sample, the instrument generates a signal that correlates with the element's concentration. Based on this signal-concentration relationship, the instrument calculates the final result.
The system is composed of a light source, flame atomizer, monochromator, and an integrated processing unit. It utilizes atomic absorption spectrometry in conjunction with specialized reagents to simultaneously perform in vitro detection of copper, zinc, calcium, magnesium, and iron in whole blood and serum.
