Product Description

Power Cord Strain and Twist Tester (Model ZLT-LN1)

This precision equipment is designed to determine the strain and twisting resistance of supply cords at the point of entry into an appliance, strictly following IEC60335-1 clause 25.15 standards.

  • Purpose: Ensures cord anchorages relieve conductors from strain and twisting at terminals.
  • Testing Procedure: Pull tests are conducted 25 times for 1 second in the most unfavourable direction without jerking.
  • Torque Application: Torque is applied as close as possible to the appliance for 1 minute.
  • Safety Assurance: Protects conductor insulation from abrasion and prevents longitudinal displacement exceeding 2 mm.

Standard Outfit Includes:

  • 1 set of torque weights (2N-5N-7N) for torques 0.1Nm-0.35Nm.
  • 1 set of pull weights (20N*2-30N*2) for strain 30N-100N.
  • 1 fixed speed system with 1 times/s tension frequency.
  • 1 control unit with a 4-digit predetermining counter for automatic drive shut-off and data recording.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Which international standard does the ZLT-LN1 comply with? A: The tester is strictly designed in accordance with IEC60335-1 clause 25.15 requirements.
Q: What is the maximum pull force capacity of this machine? A: It supports a strain range of 30 N, 60 N, and up to 100 N using provided pull weight sets.
Q: Is the displacement monitored during the test? A: Yes, the standard requires that the cord shall not be longitudinally displaced by more than 2 mm after the test.
Q: Can I use this equipment for different power supply voltages? A: The standard power supply is AC 220V 50Hz, but other voltages and frequencies are available upon request.
Q: What materials are used in the construction of the tester? A: The machine is primarily constructed from high-quality Stainless Steel for durability and precision.
Q: How does the control unit manage the testing cycles? A: It features a 4-digit predetermining counter that automatically switches off the drive and records the number of tension and torque cycles.
