Professional Tool-Setting Solution
The Renishaw TS27R together with the MI 8-4 interface provides a rugged, hard-wired tool-setting solution for vertical and horizontal machining centres. The TS27R probe measures tool length and diameter and detects broken tools with unidirectional repeatability down to 1.0 µm.
Its stylus options include disc and square tips for different tool geometries. The MI 8-4 interface accepts the TS27R hard-wired output, provides configurable axis selection and protected transistor outputs, and presents probe status plus axis movement LEDs for easy diagnostics. The combined kit simplifies wiring and automates accurate tool set-up and in-cycle broken-tool checks — ideal for production machining and robotic cell integration.
